Australia (AUS) Won by 3 Wickets Against Sri Lanka (SL) in First (1st) ODI Cricket Match Series 2016 : There is a good news for the Cricket fans as the First ODI match between Australia (AUS) and Sri Lanka (SL) is now over. Australia has won the first of the five One Day Match against Sri Lanka by 3 Wickets. Australia was seen to be the winning contender of this match. As the result of AUS Vs SL 1st ODI Match result came as expected.

Today was the 1st One Day International Match of Cricket between two of the best countries of the World. Yes, AUS and SL both gave their best in this match. Ultimately, one has to win. And team Australia came to its form by winning the First ODI match.

This was the highest score made by any player from SL today. The second highest was that of Kusal Mendis who scored 67 runs in 95 balls. Other players were played an average innings. Sri Lanka played whole 50 overs and made 227 runs losing 8 wickets. However, this score is less in front of a strong contender like Australia.

From Australia there was a good partnership between Finch and Smith. However when they got out, there score began to increase very slow. Finch scored 56 runs in just 46 balls while captain Steven Smith scroed 58 runs in 92 balls. Their partnership made the innings more stronger. At the end Australia by losing 7 wickets scored 228 runs in 46.5 overs.

The bowling of Sri Lanka was not too good as they given a lot of extras in the form of wides. While AUS bowlers gave just 3 extras in total. But there is still chance for SL to win the series as four matches are left.
