J. Cole posted a music video for his song ” a m a r I which was produced by Cole, Sucuki, T-Minus, and Timbaland. Cole admits that when he was about 90% through with the album, he called Timbaland and asked for the real beat files. However, the Dreamville boss was taken aback when Timbo revealed that he had never saved the session for that specific beat. However, there is an intriguing story behind its development. In a new video, the rapper confirms that he heard a portion of Timbaland’s beat on YouTube, which was a rip of one of the instrumentals Timbaland recently performed live on Twitch.
Cole copied a loop from the YouTube video but did not ask Timbo for the original files because he wanted to be certain he was going to record and use the album.
